Blackberries, books and tv shows!

I’m writing this entry on my Blackberry during the drive home..Roy is driving of course. I survived another Monday which is great. I know I should reflect positively on all days that I’m blessed to be alive but in the world of tech support Mondays can be evil. Things that worked fine on Friday always magically break come Monday morning lol always a joy to fix.
I can’t wait to get to Derek’s class tonight despite having a bad headache. I hope the Advil I just took kicks in on time. Class won’t be nearly as fun with a headache. Missing class isn’t an option though… my legs would need to be broken first lol
I’m concerned with the idea of not being able to work out for 6 weeks after my surgery. Bones need to heal…I need to rest, I understand the process but STILL. I haven’t gone 6 weeks without lifting weights in 3 years - this is going to be really tough. I have visions of laying on the couch completely stoned and sucking back protein shakes lol. It’s not all bad I suppose but still. It will get old after a couple of weeks.
Maybe Dr. Mitton will allow some light walking on my treadmill or light dumbbells from home. I know I have to be careful of my face but as long as I’m not going crazy I should be fine. Time will tell I guess.
Okay so I’m writing this part after coming back from the gym. I had an amazing class and I’m very glad I went. I was feeling really crappy when I left the house. I wasn’t entirely sure if I should go and was pretty confident I would be coming home early. Two laps running around the gym parking lot though and I was feeling 100%. I even out ran Derek in his own class.
LOL. Yay me! My butt and abs are pretty sore right now but that’s a good thing. Perhaps the pain in my ass is distracting the pain in my head? Hrmm I wonder lol.
I’ve been reading an older book by Anthony Robbins called “Awaken the Giant Within.” I admit I was really taken in at the beginning of the book but I’m quickly getting bored. He has some good ideas on living life to the fullest each day and how we’re responsible for creating and dealing with our own emotions but I find the chapters are kind of dragging on. I can’t wait to finish it so I can move on to something else. I’m hearing good things about Eckhart Tolle’s The Power of Now so perhaps that will be next. It’s a small book and I’m sure I could finish it off in a day.
Speaking of books - if anyone is interested in Henry the 8th you should definitely check out the Tudor series by Philippa Gregory - The Other Boleyn Girl, The Constant Princess, The Queen’s Fool, The Boleyn Inheritance, etc. I started reading her books back in January and couldn’t stop. Great reads all around.
The Tudor television series is also very good.
Speaking of television - I’m totally addicted to watching Ugly Betty! I can’t get enough of this show! I downloaded the two latest episodes over the weekend and couldn’t stop laughing. I hope more new episodes come out soon because I can’t get enough of this show. I like Henry but I’m quickly starting to adore Geo! If you haven’t watched it go download it NOW.
Anyhow that’s my scoop for this evening. I’m going to do some Blackberry research for our Wiki at work.
Ciao!
