Oh my god last night was crazy!! I meant to get my Turbulence Training exercise in but couldn’t with all the things I had to get done! I picked Alex up from mom’s after work and ended up chatting with her for over an hour. Picked up a prescription at the store after that. Got back to Montague and Roy picked up Allison. Made supper, tidied up the kitchen then had to go to the store and pick up some groceries I forgot about. I was just getting ready to go downstairs and do my workout when Allison walked up to me with a small card. It was a reminder invitiation for the Parent Teacher Meet and Greet bbq at the school - whoops!! It completely slipped my mind so I had to do a quick change out of my gym clothes and into another outfit. Roy was out on his bike so I had to call him to get back home asap so we could go over for the meeting. We got to meet a few of the teachers and Allison’s friends so it was a nice evening. Talk about rushed though! I had to pick up some more fresh veggies after the meeting so my evening was pretty much gone by the time I got back. I was feeling pretty tired so I went to bed around 8:45. My mind/body needed the rest.
I’m really glad today is Friday, my mother is watching Alex until I get off work. I plan on picking him up and coming home to do my workout down in the basement. It will be the first thing I do this time. After that we will pick up Allison, make supper and pack Allison’s overnight bag for the sleepover with mom. Mom plans on keeping Allison overnight and dropping her back off in Montague at around 11 tomorrow. I think she will have a blast.
The weekend could end up being busy depending on what I decide to do. A co-worker is having a small housewarming bbq at his place on Saturday afternoon which I might attend. My friend Karen is also going to Baba’s with some friends for Sweet Oblivions. I’m trying really hard to stick to healthy eating and no alcohol so I don’t know. I could always bring something healthy to the bbq and I don’t have to drink if I go out on Saturday night. Part of me would like to stay home and just read The 100 Mile Diet and play with the kids. We’ll see. It’s getting so expensive driving back and forth from town all the time with the car! I wish I lived closer so I could bike. It would save a fortune and be environmentally friendly.
My friend Aaron who lives in Ottawa has been commuting to work every day on his bike and his weight loss has been really impressive.
He wasn’t a big guy to begin with but you can certainly notice a huge difference in his body with all the cycling. My goal is to move closer to town and start commuting by bike some point as well.
Anyhow I gotta log into the phone and take some calls for work. Hoping for a quick shift!
